There is a lot to unpack here and certainly something that I will probably talk about again.
The jist of it is this, evidence based practices means that you have evidence to backup what you are doing. Whether this is exercise programming or nutritional recommendations, you need to have evidence to back up what you are doing. Information is everywhere these days, the problem with that is information isn't evidence. Science is evidence, more importantly, science that is able to be replicated.
All that means is, it's been studied and research with experiments carried out to show something is effective or not. This is more than just data gathering, it testing and retesting and then passing it on to other researchers to let them test and retest.
