There really isn't much to say about this, I mean, the title of the podcast says it all. After many years of coaching, one things always remains the same when working with people, if you make their obstacles look smaller than what they are, they'll succeed. It sounds like magic, but I assure you it isn't. It also sounds simplistic, and in a way it kind of is, but the actual execution of it is what becomes tricky.
You see, knowing something and being able to carry it out are two completely different things. Ask anyone that has studied a medical science and they'll tell you the same thing. It's one thing to read and study about medical procedures, but a completely different matter when you're asked to complete said procedure in real life. Making behavior changes to help you reach your goal isn't any different really. You might know the science of why you are consuming the amount of calories you consuming, but to actually control yourself and not go over them is another matter.
Once you break things down into their smallest components though, everything will slowly fall into place and you will begin to move forward and on to your goal. But don't take my word for it.
